This site was originally planned for a later release however in light of recent news events it time to get it started. So I apologize for the crude look of the site, it will start to evolve and in the near future not only point fingers at bad pit owners, but also offer Pit Bull training tips, information, and a QandA forum.

CRIME - For using his writing abilities to provoke even more hate and fear into the public consensus concerning Pit Bulls instead of educating the public. In Anderson’s article “Scared of Pit Bulls? You’d Better Be!” Anderson does nothing to promote the public education of Pit Bulls, instead Anderson attempts to provoke even more hatred and misunderstand of the breed.
Anderson isolates the majority of dog attacks to the Pit Bull and rebukes the entire breed and being breed aggressive. Anderson even classifies Pit Bulls in the same category as drug dealing, prostitution, and aggressive panhandling.
Anderson blames the breed in his article quoting Katherine Houpt
“The pit bull is an innately aggressive breed, often owned by someone who wants an aggressive dog, so they're going to encourage it.”
I thought we have passed the age of prejudice and stereotyping. I agree that a lot of dog attacks do involve Pit Bulls, but what I ask is “Is it the dogs fault, or the owners fault?”
I think the proper message would have been to promote stiffer penalties on the dogs owner then brand the entire breed. Instead of crying about how mean the Pit Bull is, and how you were scared when you came across one unleashed. You should be complaining about the owner that was the cause of that dog being unleashed!!!
Bad owners are the cause of aggressive dogs. If you make the penalties so stiff, eventually you will filter out the dumb assess that are not responsible enough to own a dog! next we should try that with parants!
It’s not morally or politically correct to promote prejudice against minorities and its not okay to provoke it on a breed of animals? Anderson does have a good writing ability however his stance on this subject it biased based on his personal encounters with the breed. Because of this I have added him to my list of Pit Bull Enemies!

ProtectPitBulls.com is more then just a rant about bad Pit Bull owners. A full information site is underway behind the scenes. Its our #1 goal to educate the public about Pit Bulls on how to train and manage their dogs. The optimal goal is to change the public consensus that Pit Bulls are bad. In truth Pit Bulls are loving, protective, good natured dogs. The problem is bad or uneducated owners.
